We all meet different types of people around the world. Knowing their cultural background is not enough which is why you need to step up your game and get to know your client very well so that you will be able to work hand in hand with them without any problems.
When you find yourself having to deal with a client that needs to be handled everything including how to open up a file, then what you need to do is to do it for him. You may be tempted to ask more from the services you have rendered but do it on reasonable terms.
An uninterested client does not usually mean he is not interested in hiring you. In fact, an uninterested client might give you more freedom than you can imagine but such client will let you handle everything as long as you get the job done. You can approach them by either talking straight to the point or be friendlier with them.
Some of us have experienced having a hands-on client. This type of client wants everything that is on his mind to be materialized right in front of him from the angles to which each design is made to the words you should use when it comes to the heading. It might be a pain in the neck to be working with them but it will also test how accurate you are when it comes to work.
On the other hand, there are also clients that literally praise you just for breathing. It’s a dream come true for freelancers to work with appreciative clients. When you have one, treasure them and never let them go but this does not mean you should lay back and enjoy the glory. You should still persevere to aim more.
The most polarizing client of all is a client who risks working with you with expectations that you are good and would want to view the results before making the ultimate decision. It can be frustrating for freelancers who do their best and they end up getting the short end of the stick with this kind of client.
Sometimes we get to meet a budget client. These are people who want to start a business but are short on the capital but still want to do it. It might be good for you to understand your client’s situation just as long as he also understands yours. The key to working with a budget client is understanding.
The urgent client can bring out the best in you if you know how to work with them. Urgent clients feel the need to pressure you so that you will be working on time. But for those who are just starting out, an urgent client is not the client for you. Only seasoned freelancers can keep up with urgent clients.

You might have an impression resume written on a piece of paper but a wonderful resume can only get you through the initial stage of applying for a job. The real challenge is how you get through the series of interviews that follows. For you to survive a competitive job application, here are some things that will help you keep an edge from others.
Find out as much as possible about the company. Do some basic research about the company. The easiest way to do this is to go to the internet to find out the business and the way things are being handled inside the company.
Try to have an idea on who will be doing the interview and what the HR department is looking for. Having details on what the company is all about is not enough. You will have to look for the person who will do the interview and what he is looking for in an applicant.
Dress up for the interview. It does not matter if you look ridiculous with that suit but do try to look formal when you are infront of the interviewer. People will be awed with the way you carry yourself with the suit.
Talk to someone who is currently working for the company or at least someone who has worked for the company in the past. They will give you insight on how the job is done, what they are looking for, and what skills you should ready in case you get hired.
During the interview process, make sure that you maintain eye contact and get your nerves in check. Breathe in and out to calm yourself down and avoid stuttering. Take some time to think before you answer a question.
Gather all the possible questions that might be thrown at you during the interview to ensure that you are well prepared in advance. Although most of the time, questions are situational and out of the blue, they contain mostly about what you will be able to contribute to the company.
Do some practice interview with your friends. This will help you prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally. Let your friends comment on how you were able to do the interview and point out what are your flaws and what areas you need to focus on.
