Developing Your Kid’s Math Aptitude with Math Game
What is the mathematical constant “pi”? Is it irrational or not? These questions, are they difficult or not? Can you solve them or not? At times although we have studied very much in our math exams, even these questions that can be simply memorized from textbooks can appear like hieroglyphs on the exam day. It is acceptable though. Because a lot of us cannot do good with mathematics. Some people think if you are expert in writing compositions, you can have difficulty solving equations. Correct or not, you as a student might need to toil harder so to gain a high score or as a parent of your child should make your child do well with his or her math grading score. So what to do? Make solving to him exciting and pleasurable through various math game and activities.
According to experts, there are three main roadblocks to mathematics, and which can be achieved if you answer the three major hindrances in solving it. The following are the three major hindrances:
Hindrance 1: Memory Difficulties. Some kids do experience issues in memorizing solutions and equations to numerical problems.
Hindrance 2: Cognitive Development Issues. A kid should see the relationships involving numbers and equation with each other. For instance, why is it that numbers grow when you use the addition equation? And why do numbers shrinks when you apply subtraction?
Hindrance 3: Visual Spatial or Alignment Issues. Some kids have issues with numeric alignment. Placing and aligning are very important in solving equations, reading graphs and making columns for deriving quotients in division for instance.
These major three hindrances are what restrict your child’s incapacity to do his or her mathematics homework on his or her own, or in doing well with his or her math examination scores. For a parent you might ask to yourself what might have caused your kid to not do well in her mathematics examination when you yourself have been very good in your preparatory years. On the other hand, as you may have noticed, the mathematics curriculum of nowadays is a lot more distinct and more advanced than what was taught decades ago. But that nonetheless is not valid enough in order to acquit your child from the extra coaching and encouraging he or she deserves so to better his or her mathematics exam scores. So how would you make your child see his arithmetic working sheet is a math game and not a math problem?
Always, we should first find out the basics-the basis of everything and where everything tends to begin. The four cardinal mathematical operations seem to be easy for an elementary student. But introduce them to fractions and decimal system later on and you would see them get tensed and perplexed. For a teacher and a father you may notice that if your child is having enjoyment he or she could have a better retention. So think about a better methodology that would make your child enjoy their math lessons-bring in addition of fractions as a math game, for instance. That way, your child will have a greater appreciation of math.
Let your child learn Math the easy and fun way. Math game is one perfect instrument to get your child absorb the subject in the most natural manner. Added up with the graphic organizers, your child will surely excel in school.
