Ways For Keeping Warm In Winter

You know we have entered the coldest period of the year when even the warmth in our homes doesn’t stop us from feeling the chilled air.

Some like it hot, some like it cold, I belong to the former. Waking up to a white blanket doesn’t excite me and make we want to run outside and make snowmen, quite the opposite in fact!

There’s nothing I can do about the weather unfortunately, all I can do is give you some advice on how to stay warm and save money at the same time.

Nothing is cozier than a fireplace when the weather is cold and wintry outside, unfortunately it tends to just heat the area right in front of it. A fireplace blower will distribute the heat evenly throughout the room.

The heat that the fireplace generates is blown throughout the room so it warms everyone, not just those sat in front of it. This means you can do without having your heating on at the same time, ultimately proving to be cost effective.

You need never get into a cold bed again if you get yourself a heated blanket. Run very cheaply by electricity these are fantastic for warming your bed.

It’s up to you if you want to leave it on all night, or just turn it down. Once you are all snuggled in and cozy, the heat generated from the blanket and your own body will have you in a blissful slumber.

A Draughty skylight works both ways; you lose the heat that you are paying for and gain the cold air you are trying to keep out. Fit a blind over the entire window to eradicate the problem.

All these tips will save you money as well as keeping you warm. So try one and beat the winter blues.
